Kendall Coffey sat down to chat with Jackie Nespral of NBC 6 about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Coffey is a part of several South Florida legal circles and he had the opportunity to work with Kavanaugh.
They discussed Coffey’s perspective on Roe v. Wade. Democrats believe that this subject will be critical in terms of him being appointed. Nespral asked Coffey if he thinks it could be reversed. Coffey is unsure, but he does believe that if Kavanaugh were deciding Roe v. Wade today he wouldn’t support it. It’s part of our judicial laws and the question that stands is if it was a good idea in the first place and Kavanaugh would probably say it wasn’t. Coffey says it’s a big deal to revise the foundation of American law with something as momentous as considering the reversal of Roe v. Wade. Nespral asked his thoughts on if it will happen, Coffey thinks it’s unlikely.
