On the Law & Crime Network, Heather Hansen and Kendall Coffey talk about the Adam Matos case. Coffey emphasized that during this guilt phase of the trial the last person that the defense team wants the jury to hear from is the defendant, Adam Matos. Heather agreed and asked Coffey to elaborate. He says that all the evidence points to Matos brutally murdering this family and there’s no value in him trying to challenge his guilt or innocence. He said that if at some point they want him to take the stand it will be during the sentencing phase. The only thing that should be discussed now is whether he perpetrated these crimes and there is nothing Matos can say that is going to affect that decision at this point.
